THE ART OF TRANSITION CONNECTING CREATIVE MINDS IN DURHAM REGION

October 12 & 13, 2010

“Communities play a central role in the quality of life that Canadians enjoy. They also account for 60% of the nation’s energy consumption.” Council of Energy Ministers, integrated Community Energy Solutions, A Roadmap for Action.

Building on a successful conference in 2009 this conference will explore ownership, partnership and financial models for designing and building the community of the future. We will examine elements from building technology, water and waste management and energy and transportation solutions. This conference will also feature a tradeshow as well as a unique student design competition where the creative minds of tomorrow will present their innovative ideas.
