THE ART OF TRANSITION CONNECTING CREATIVE MINDS IN DURHAM REGION

Feedback

The conference thus far

November 12th, 2009 by

Good morning!
This is a fantastic opportunity and congratulations to those who have organized it AND are participating in it.
I need to ask the “Devil’s Advocate” question:
If we are truly looking at Creativity and developing/enhancing our region, can our interaction (through a future conference, perhaps) be done creatively? (i.e., avoiding the “typical” conference format of “sit and speak” and, instead, involving (physically, in discussion, and otherwise) the audience to get their feedback – if we have the great thinkers/motivators/”movers and shakers” here, shouldn’t they be involved in structured discussion and collaboration? )
Perhaps I am being the “Devil’s Advocate” far too early in the conference…the visioning session is yet to happen…will we still be “fresh enough” for that session?

Also – regarding the PowerPoint presentations – will we be able to get access to them through the Art of Transition website?

Thanks, again, for offerring this opportunity!
I am proud to be here!

A day well spent

As a person who survives on creativity, I’m glad I came. My new initiative, the Durham International Festival subscribes to the spirit of this symposium.

Old things, new ways.
I promise I wasn’t driving when I typed this on my Blackberry.

Will the statistics and slides from the panel session from The Art of Transition be made available to the attendees?

Now is the time for Durham to take the lead. Treat people fairly… Regardless of who they are… And our communities will be a better place.

Passions are important – as a kid I loved Jacque Cousteau documentaries and were it not for them I wouldn’t be doing what I do..

I want to cultivate those same passions in my daughter.

Passions – of any kind are keys to happiness and sucess.
